About
TC Kida (she/they) is a queer, trans-femme, non-binary, shin-nisei Japanese-American collage artist working with reclaimed pieces of printed media to open new spaces for exploring the identities she carries at the intersection of existence and resistance. All of the source material is procured free of charge; by reclaiming this material and reworking the elements of it, she aims to co-create a new plane of acceptance from the margins of a system that is increasingly designed to exclude people holding marginalized identities.
Having worked in graphic design, carpentry, community organizing, and software engineering, TC carries forward parts of each discipline to inform and shape the collage work she does now. She welcomes collaboration and commissions, and looks forward to hearing from you.
